Legalization of Pot in CA

http://liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com/2...over-the-buzz/

Discuss.

I don't think it should be legalized. But, IF they were going to legalize it, I think they should straighten out the other 658746796 issues the state is going through before opening this can of worms...

While I have never smoked nor intend to, I think they should legalize it based on the revenue that could be produced from it and the crime that would be prevented. IMO, it is the most used "illegal" substance with little adverse side effects. I do however find it funny how strict California is on every other front, and yet they are leading the way with pot tolerance.

IMO, they only want to legalize it so they can tax it and try to bring in some more cash for their broke state. On that basis, I can't support it.

You are both close--but the "only" reason they want to legalize is because it's just one more way to get votes for Dems!!!
They are desperate-THAT'S the ONLY reason !!

Absolutely NOT.
1. its a hallucinogen (no way in hell id want people who are high driving on roads with me)
2. with the amount of illegal growers it would be impossible to tax
3. its just a way to gain votes (i know plenty of people who would vote for somebody just if weed was legalized.)
4. im sure this post can go on.....

Right now in CA if you have $200, you can find a quack doctor that you give a bs reason that you need pot and they'll give you your pot license in which you can get it and grow your own.

Driving drunk is by far more dangerous than driving high. I've been in the car with drunk drivers, high drivers, and drunk/high drivers. Drunks are far and beyond the most dangerous. When you're drunk you tend to have random black outs. That's why the pole my buddy was reversing up to was about 10 feet away, and suddenly his car bumper was wrapped around it. When your high everything moves slower....no black outs....that's why high drivers tend to drive like 15 under the speed limit.

When was the last time you heard of a stoned person veering to the other side of the road and killing someone?
