I hope the SCOTUS sides with the Westboro baptist church on this issue. There I said it and now I feel the need to shower in bleach for for saying it but they're rights need to be protected also. If the SCOTUS rules against those lunatics where will the line be moved to and who will stop the move?


All that being said I hope the members of that "church" rot in hell.

I understand where you are coming from . Gotta uphold the constitution . After all that is one of the things soldiers lay their lives down for . That being said what possible reason could a church have to protest at a funeral . Those people have no class . They should be ashamed . If I lived by their church I would loudly protest their service every Sunday .

sorry i dont agree, free speech isnt an absolute. there are limits and i think that this over steps the boudary and should be considered unprotected speech.

If it was slanderous against that person specifically I would agree. However their signs are generic, distasteful but generic.

if we can have special laws for hate crimes then i dont see why we cant have special laws to protect the last rights of someone that gave all in the defense of this country.

this is not a church it is a wacked out family of a**holes who i would love to see dawn a turbin and go find themselves on the other end of a Marines M-4. Diablos and i could go start a church that is all kinds of messed up, but because we are a church and we are protesting its all gunna be ok. I cant wait until these people are rotting in hell

I am not arguing with you guys on the Military side. Just remember we have sworn to defend and uphold the Constitution, no matter how much we disagree.

this is true i would like to see a full on investigation on this, if infact the signs said God hates YOU then i would take that as being directed to a specific person. i dont care if the signs are mass produced or what have you i just hope that what needs to be done is done.

It ticks me off this "church" does this. As a person of faith, I absolutely disagree with how and what they are doing. It is reprehensible.

Even if we don't like what someone says, their rights are important.

OTOH, There needs to be a way to protect grieving families while they bury their dead. Of all the ways to protest, this is low.
