If you are on welfare WTF are you doing gambling in Vegas and spending money at expensive resorts?

there are too many flaws in the welfare system. To the point where these young kids are growing up knowing how to use and abuse it. Blame it on the government.

This has been show here on the news. The way I understand it i that welfare is to help you through a tough time until you can get back on your own feet. Nothing wrong with helping folks that need the help.

OTOH, Vegas, Cruise ships, resorts? HMMM, have issues with my tax dollars funding that.

I think welfare should be on a restricted use card. Similar to WIC (women infants children) programs. Only certain items should be allowed. And IMHO, if you are receiving welfare and are found to have tobacco or alcohol, we reduce your welfare benefits... if you have enough cash to blow on habits, you don;t need as much from me.. but that is a whole rant all by itself....

I've been preaching that for years, along with the fact that all on welfare should be drug tested,if you can afford illegal narcotics, you don't need welfare. Plus, the welfare officials have the right to search your home at any time to see if you have tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs in your possession. If your caught, you don't get your welfare reduced, it's CUT OFF immediately.

The same goes for those in gov. housing.

Since we are kinda on this level ATM, I feel if you are on welfare and own a vehicle, you should have to report (and VERIFY) your vehicle milage. You are allowed to go to the store, drs appointments and things like that. PERIOD. If you need welfare, you don;t need to be out joy riding all day on MY dime...
