FOXNews.com - EPA and DOT Call for 62 MPG Standard by 2025

Good God, this is getting ridiculous. They keep calling for these standards without considering how it will affect auto manufacturers and consumers.

And fuel economy standards on medium and heavy-duty trucks is absurd. Sure, let's just punch the gut of the economy even harder.

Ha ha ha how do you measure miles per gallon on something that spends more time running implements off of a PTO then driving down the road (i.e. National cranes, which have over the road trucks with a crane). If the government would spend this effort thinking about the subjects rather than thinking of things to do they would be in better shape than they are now. geez

instead?

so, they want 62mpg from a truck? will they allow current illegal mods to be legal? will they help the auto industry to achieve these so far outreach goals so the end user doesnt have to spend 100k on a XLT F350??? will the epa also allow more oil drilling? will the epa like to have my glock shot up their azz or just nuke the department? will the epa actually listen to the avarage joe that actually uses these trucks to bring bread and milk to the dinner for their 2.1 kids and wife?.............
