That's the union for ya, you can't fire them. Several times when I was doing entertainment shows, especially in the NE, you'd have workers come in borderline hammered. We actually had one guy taken off of a FORKLIFT in NY that was drunk and damaging equipment. He couldn't be fired, he was asked to go home and the rest of the workers got mad because he had to go home.
