Uneducated
" The public is not only shifting from left to right. Every single idea associated with the educated class has grown more unpopular over the past year.
The educated class believes in global warming, so public skepticism about global warming is on the rise. The educated class supports abortion rights, so public opinion is shifting against them. The educated class supports gun control, so opposition to gun control is mounting. The story is the same in foreign affairs. The educated class is internationalist, so isolationist sentiment is now at an all-time high, according to a Pew Research Center survey. The educated class believes in multilateral action, so the number of Americans who believe we should “go our own way” has risen sharply." Op-Ed Columnist - The Tea Party Teens - NYTimes.com |

Actually I think it's the REAL educated class who are moving to the right.

Well, I suppose we should remember that there is a huge difference between honest, real-world education and mere "indoctrination" -- and there are also a lot of people who are educated far beyond their intelligence. I know that most in 'academia' never held a real job in their lives, had to meet a payroll or deal with the actual financial limitations of trying to run their own business. (It is always easier, I suppose, to cry to the taxpayers and benefactors every couple of years to grow their already bloated budgets.) The truth is that the 'liberal elite' types DEPEND on the vast majority of the public being uneducated, ignorant or more easily manipulated -- since that type of person will be more malleable, trusting and dependent upon a benevolent bureaucrat for their existence. Why have independent, thinking individuals who question things when it is far easier to have everyone be a ward of the state?

Idiots! "go our own way" ya right, we are the MFIC whether "we" like it or not, every time we've tried to Isolate, someone blows up our pacific fleet, or crashes airplanes into our buildings and kills a bunch of us. it's our responsibilty to police this childish world, bookworms and egg heads had better accept it..
another thing that pezzes me off about these ****'s, they are sooo concerned about US troops being in harms way, BS! it aint their Kids, brothers, mothers fathers and sisters who lay their *** on the line to protect not only our freedoms and way of life, but those of the other nations we have saved and protected throughout our history, up theirs! I don't think this country is moving to the right, I think that it is moving in a completely new direction, to uncharted territory, the likes of which have never been seen in modern America......i say this because people who never gave a crap about polotics, or government for that matter, are starting to wonder, as well as pay attention to the current conditions in America. The liberal machine is now viewed by many as not just the crazy left wingers....but now seen as the reason for the entire enchilada of problems.....Healthcare, spendulus, the wars in Iraq and Afghi...it's all culminationg for the liberals, but not as they wanted...it's building the pressures of the American people....never before have so many people bought guns....never before has so many people storing been away for the future....to a larger percentage of the population our nation's future is uncertain.....change is what they said they'd do, and boy are they changing America.....but they better watch out, cuz it ain't the change they were looking for.....the "educated" of America isn't America...it's the people who make us move on a daily basis are America.....but the "educated" will never understand that......"educated" is just another word for liberal.....at least in this frame of reference......and the liberals always know whats best...lol

Educated class my a$$... more fitting would be the Ignorant Class.
X2 on everything JK23112 said. And I have PLENTY of education, but the best lessons taught are in the REAL WORLD, which apparently this "educated class" has never experienced... |

I think the country is moving right, because it turned far more sharply to the left than most people wanted, and that didn't work out so well. And I don't think this is a matter of education. I'm highly educated, and I don't buy into the global warming or socialized medicine thing. Anyone with an IQ higher than their belt size doesn't.
The dems mistook their victory in 08 as a mandate for Euro style socialism. It wasn't. It was a vote of desperation due to the worsening economy. Real bright idea, throwing socialism at a recession is like throwing gasoline on a fire. Of all the transgressions, the health care mess has me the most concerned. Specifically, the fact that the dems have huddled up in private to hammer out... what? They've excluded half the country from the discussion on a major part of our future. And they're doing it in the middle of a recession - who's going to pay for all of that? Your fairy godmother? Oh, by the way, while our spender-in-chief was twisting arms to get this pork shoved through, we almost lost another airliner. Note to the dems: health care begins by preventing people from being blown up. Fortunately, we have the 2010 elections coming up. Already, Chris Dodd (D-Incompetent) has dropped out, and Harry Reid (D-TaxAndSpend) is in trouble back home. Remember what happened with Clinton (D-NailThePorkyIntern) back in 94? Midyear elections got republican majorities in house and senate, and they put the brakes on his ideas. Maybe we can even dispose of Pelosi (D-NastyOldWitch) in the process. So put out the good word. Got any democrat reps or senators up for reelection? Look up who's running against them, and volunteer. That's what I'm doing. Let's get fired up and fire these clowns, before they turn this place into Cuba. |

A fitting thread for this quote I think.
"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin." Samuel Adams, 1776 |
