I Hate the Puget Sound

Puget Sound Clean Air Agency | News | Stage 2 burn ban called for Snohomish County

Every time it gets clear and still, which means cold they issue a burn ban. This one really sucks because it is Christmas time. Nothing better on Christmas morning than a big roaring fire. Well not this year. I would burn but the fine is $1000 so I can't afford the fine. UGH I hate this side of this state.

It doesn't feel like Christmas Eve without a fire.

Josh, that burn ban is only in effect UNLESS it is your only source of heat in the house... every time this ban is in effect I go over to my furnace and "rig" it so it will not turn on. I have a plan that I am going to play the dumb card and say to whoever it is that comes to my house to fine me, "go ahead and try to turn on my furnace, it hasnt worked since I moved in, it is my only source of heat"... Will my excuse work?... Who knows, but I will be damned if I am going to not burn a warm fire this time of year.

Wow are you friggin kidding me? We have burn bans on occasion too. But they dont include fireplaces or any source of heat.

If that was here I would go kick my county board member square in the friggin head

We had the fire department over here today because of that we had a bon fire going but still. I dont see any reason for not being able to have a fire in your own fireplace
