while im glad no one died, if you're stupid enough to break into a base that is known to have nukes, you should maybe realize that you may end up with a cap in yo' a$$ and maybe you just shouldnt do it. If you break into a place where they can shoot you on sight, then it's yer own dumb a$$ fault if you get shot. They better thank their lucky stars they arent dead.

It is simple. When I was active duty Marine Corps. Nuclear Weapons were treated as national security. There for Deadly Force was authorized. Meaning if I was on gaurd duty when this happened. Yes I would have enacted deadly force. The only question I would have to answer would be why did you shoot all your ammo. Simple answer, I was protecting National Security.

This is based on my training by the United States Marine Corps 1996-2003

So when swine flu or some other bs becomes a national security issue, will that also justify MURDERING unarmed Americans who wont follow military rules? i mean, after all, there are troops "training" for that.

Comparing H1N1 to a break in on a nuclear weapons storage facility wow shakc you are out there.

Damn right they couldve been shot. They knowingly entered a restricted area on a military base. They are very lucky they arent 6ft under right now.

They commited an illegal act knowing the possible consequences.

Yeah, i'm out there because i think common sense is better than following orders and MURDERING someone simply because it is "authorized".
plain and simple, murder is murder, doesnt matter what bs reasoning you put behind it, or what uniform its wearing.
so like i said, its good to see some can follow their instict rather than follow orders all the time. but of course we are not all going to agree on this, so, i agree to disagree

Just because they were elderly doesn't mean that they weren't capable of doing something like carrying a bomb to the base (suicide bombers).
You can't think of the best scenario, you must think of the worst and think about the safety of everyone else, not the perpetrators.
