Has anyone seen this cartoon from the 1934 Chicago Tribune?

Doubt they'd print something like this today!
Could anyone come up with a more fitting description of what is going on now?!!!

The only reason it didn't work back then was because our great dear leader didn't institute the spending spree. This time it will be different
