What you don't know is that the gov should be crying just as loud, as they make around 45% of EVERY dollar the oil companies make, due to all the taxes and regs that they are forced to pay .

Believe me- Cheering at an American economic powerhouse's loss is quite unwise as they are an indicator of economic conditions.

XOM isn't the bad guy. Gov't and the daytraders (which there was a report about them driving up oil prices wildly released by the govt...)are the enemies.

I am remorseful for what I said. They only made 4.09 BILLION for the quarter.
I will make a call to Pres Obama and have the bailout process started. NOT!!

The episodes of the last couple years have had more than just one
" villian" and a whole lot of victims.

It wasnt that angle of they need help. It was if XOM is hurting, we're all hurting and/or will be hurting

They are a good indicator, I think, of our overall economy.
