Gov trying to push FORD out?

I was talking with a friend the other day about the gov takeover of GM and Chrysler, and he made a prediction that the gov would 'force' FORD out of the market place. Now, I am seeing commercials for Chrysler, talking about how the GOVERNMENT was going to match your down payment so you could own a DODGE.

That son of a b!tch is REALLY making me angry, to the point where I think bad things :

How do the rest of you feel about the comment about the gov trying to force FORD out by undercutting the autos they/we OWN?

I won't own anything Government Motors, period. Ford will get all of my business, as soon as my son gets out of college and I can afford to get rid of that POS Chevy truck.

I am sure they will try but I see that failing miserably. I have less than zero faith in anything the feds run so I have absolutely no doubt they will fail miserably.

Me and my family are and have been Ford all the way for years now. Never have been able to buy new tho... But I do buy Motorcraft parts when possible, hope that helps.

Wish this were so, but I just don't see many people caring enough. So many people are just too short-sighted, they only want the good deal or the gas-sipping econo-box.

I saw the dodge "gov match" crap. If you read the fine print, they are matching up to $4500 for the cash for clunkers program. The $4500 rebate still applies if you don't have a clunker.

Ford is doing the same thing, they just don't match it.

I didn't know about the match part. My Ford dealer has called twice last week trying to get me to come in and trade. I just don't want to buy new right now.
