Gov trying to push FORD out?
I was talking with a friend the other day about the gov takeover of GM and Chrysler, and he made a prediction that the gov would 'force' FORD out of the market place. Now, I am seeing commercials for Chrysler, talking about how the GOVERNMENT was going to match your down payment so you could own a DODGE.

I won't own anything Government Motors, period. Ford will get all of my business, as soon as my son gets out of college and I can afford to get rid of that POS Chevy truck.

I am sure they will try but I see that failing miserably. I have less than zero faith in anything the feds run so I have absolutely no doubt they will fail miserably.

Me and my family are and have been Ford all the way for years now.
Wish this were so, but I just don't see many people caring enough. So many people are just too short-sighted, they only want the good deal or the gas-sipping econo-box. |

I saw the dodge "gov match" crap. If you read the fine print, they are matching up to $4500 for the cash for clunkers program. The $4500 rebate still applies if you don't have a clunker.
Ford is doing the same thing, they just don't match it. |

Every car manufacturer in the US is doing the $4500 thing. But the matching thing

I didn't know about the match part. My Ford dealer has called twice last week trying to get me to come in and trade. I just don't want to buy new right now.
