I hate to say it but I have to agree with Obama on this one. I have seen first hand how doctors and hospitals prescribe futile and expensive procedures that do very little to extend life and eat up the life savings of the elderly while over burdening medicare. My grandmother was kept in a hospital for a month and given all kinds of treatments that made the hospital a lot of money and did not do anything to increase the quality of her life but wiped out much of my grandfathers life savings. It would have been better to have let her die with dignity.
