She dosn't have to work with anyone since her state isn't connected to anything else there is no problems that she runs into. It goes what every way she wants it to.

The Alaska economy did well before her and will do well after because they have an abundance of natural resources, enough that there are no state taxes and everybody gets a check from the state once a year.

I wasn't aware that Alaska was an island. Their economy is still better than the other island states economy.
