Ditto on that number. Remember, this number represents ONLY those that are actively receiving benefits. Not included is those whose benefits have expired. The real number??? Probably close to 20%. I have mixed feelings. On one hand, this represents, to quote hussein himself, " Failed policy". The liberal agenda is falling flat on their face. I'm glad to see it out in the open. Maybe voters will catch on eventually. On the other hand, I have to feel for those that truly WANT to work and can't find any. Move is the easy answer, but then I don't think I want a mass influx of liberal unemployed here in Texas. They tend to bring the problems with them. |

I work for RR Donnelly at the Antioch TN plant. We see both sides of this issue because a large portion of our buisness is for the banking industry. Wells Fargo and Bank of America are huge accounts company wide. IndyMac Federal Bank is another. We have had three major layoffs since I started with the company in August of 05. I work in the envelope department as an adjuster on high speed converting equipment our work load has grown by a large margin, but no more adjusters have been hired. We all just have to do more work for the same pay. I know in these times having a good job is priceless, but I am fed up with doing two peoples work for I persons pay, but what am I gonna Do, keep on doing it and hope buisness grows to the point they have no choice but to hire some help.
