460 Wanted

I've made up my mine to put a 460 in my 86' Bronco and get rid of the fuel injected 302. Anyone no where a old car or truck is with a 460? Anyone want to buy a 302 with fuel injection? How much should I ask for the 302, it has fuel injection and air conditioning.?

found a deal

I found a 1984 Ford E350 van for $300 bucks, it has the big DAna 60 or 70 rear, 460 big block and C6 auto. I will just have to change out the tailshaft on the tranny to make it work on a transfercase. Guy said the 460 was running when it was parked 4 years ago. I plan on going ahead and building it anyway b/4 I put it in. Oh yeah I just have to drive 750 miles to go get it, but I figure about 4 tanks of fuel at $75 a tank so thats $300 on fuel, $300 for van, and a motel room for one night, that still aint bad for a 460 and a dana rear end. Then I can scrap the rest of the van here and probably still get about $150 to $200 for it at the scrap metal yard.

Ok well you better add in the 129 dollars for the new motor mounts. If you want another C-6 I got one 50 bucks takes it. It is 2 wheel drive but I know this trans is good. Hey do you want some extra tops as well. I got 2 of them 100 each.

I have a good friend of mine who is a transmission man and he will build a c6 for me for about $200 bucks including parts, as far as tops go, man I had a couple of spare tops and give them away about 6 months ago to a friend who had a Bronco, at the timer I didn't have and had not planned on getting another one. I can probably get one back from him. I appreciate it though Big Country. So all I have to do is buy new motor mounts and that BIG OLE 460 will drop right down in them frame rails right? I'm ready to fell that big block torque . I had a pretty well built 351 Windsor in my last Bronco but I've never owned a big block in one.

Correct, new motor mounts and it will drop in correct.

That is where I got my motor mounts when I did this swap. If your bronco had the 351Modified in it you would already have the C-6 in it. But you say you have the 351Windsor. What year bronco is this again.

Oh ok, well you know your engine wiring harness is pretty much useless and anything else for that 302. That website I gave you has everything you would need to do this conversion though.
