Took some friends to Lake Murray Lodge for dinner this week. It was
a birthday ride (not mine). Really windy that day (Wednesday) and
a little hazy, but here's some pics.

It costs more to fly faster ...
I throttle back and cruise at about 140 knots, 10 gallons per hour.
Heavy headwind going down, then eased up by the time we returned,
for a lighter tailwind.
55 minutes down, about 35 minutes back.
I burned about 15 gallons of car gas. I can burn car gas because I
have an older, lower compression engine.
