Ohio Sucks

I was at work today, and it was raining like a SOB, windy as hell, and cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. It got me thinking, why would anyone settle this God forsaken area.

I mean really, who looks at a swamp, and thinks, "hey, lets cut down some trees, drain it, and live here." There is a reason its a swamp, because it rains alot and the soil sucks. Did the original settlers think maybe there was a reason natives didn't clear the area? Also most of the summer and fall, the mosquitoes will eat you alive.

I'll break down Ohio weather:

January - really damn cold, snow, cloudy skies

February - still damn cold, snow, cloudy skies

March - cold, snow, rain, a few sunny days, but still cold

April - a few nice days, however most are still cold, rainy as hell, heavy sticky mud everywhere

May - usually decent days as far as temperature goes, however still rainy

June - temps are usually nice

July - hotter than sheet, mosquitoes start coming out

August - hot as hell, more mosquitoes

September - usually still hot as the 7th layer of hell, still have mosquitoes

October - one day will be hotter than hell, the next you will need a winter coat, still have mosquitoes

November - cold, snow in later weeks

December - cold, snow, cloudy skies

So pretty much 6 months solid of cold, 3 solid months of an oven, 2 months where you use the A/C one day, heater the next, and 1 month with nice temps and no mosquitoes.

Also, we are ranked one of the lowest for jobs available, and we are one of the highest taxed states. Also, the cites are loaded with liberals, and we have very little conservative representation. Its almost surprising we have concealed carry legal. There are tree huggers and liberal sheeple all over the place.

So does anyone wanna help me move to Texas? I know its always hot, but i can stand that way better than cold, and if its like that alot, i can get used to it.

Born in Columbus, now I'm in Orange County, CA. Columbus is nice to visit, but the weather sure does suck. Just to make you feel better, it's 85 degrees here today.

Commiefornia sucks too, because of all the liberals. The weather there is frickin nice, but i could never live there.

thats why I moved from there 7 years ago to South Carolina. I grew up in the snow belt 40 miles East of Cleveland. I couldnt take it any more. Its a depressing State IMHO. Oh by the way it is 77 degrees right now at 5:48pm

I would too. I really have always wanted to live in Texas. Maybe I will after college

And whoever took it is a pretty good photographer.
