Not sure how soon we need to put something together or where a good town to meet in is. I did map find searches for all the cities listed in signatures. we are spread out except for a group, 8 of 13 that have responded to this thread, in the Sidney to Mason/West Chester area. Since we need atleast 50% members for it to count something in that area might work. If Dayton would work for that group there is a Marions Pizza in front of my shop that we could meet at and if needed or wanted we could go over to my shop. I think with Fuel prices we will need to schedule meets around events that we may attend. Like April 19th the all makes Meet-n-greet at Tri-State Dragway, Dhra Pull in Findley on June 7th and other races and pulls this summer. Jay |

Todd, glad you were kidding. I'm almost 48 and after many years as a mechanic I have seen people try some things you wouldn't believe. DaytonDiesel, I have no problem driving to Dayton as its not that far away. I was hoping to hit up some of the pulls in the area too. My stepson and his friend go to a lot of them around here and all I have to do is ask him whats going on and when and he will know. He wanted to take my psd to one but I'm thinking not, I still have to install my clutch. I was thinking of finding a used flywheel to have surfaced and ready so I could make this a 1 day job. Anyone know of a good cheap flywheel anywhere? Cheapest I found is in a boneyard in Lima for 75 + tax. Back to the subject at hand. I think we should be prepared to have meets at different places from time to time just to be fair to the guys that don't live in this area. I guess we will have to wait and see where fuel prices go. Last summer I lived at work 7 days a weekand and only got to go home and ride my 4 wheeler twice all summer. I don't know what my work load will be this summer yet but even if I have the time fuel prices are gonna kill my chances to get home more often. |

I agree with meets in different area's. I usually attend 15+ pulls a year and go to Kil-Kare for test-n-tune every other thursday with a group. I know that our group on the dieselplace.com (Buckyeye Oil Burners) is going to try to have events in other area's also. We have talked about a Sunday meet at National Trail Raceway, as that would be central Ohio, that is when there test-n-tune is and maybe a meet at Yankee Lake, Northeast Ohio, for one of the NADM pulls. as I was looking over where I know I am going this summer another good meet would be June 14th at the Madison County Fairgrounds (London,Oh)they are having a pull and before the pull they have a test-n-tune so if anybody wanted to try hooking to the sled they could. Sometime on Monday I will try to post all the events that I know of for the summer. Lets try to get some feedback on what others plan to attend and that way we can put some Ideas for meets out there so that we can plan them. Jay |
