Cheap Place to stay in minneapolis mn

I will be working at the V.A. in Minneapolis Mn. for a few months, anyone know of a cheap place to stay? I was there a few weeks ago and stayed at an Econolodge near the airport, but at $50 bucks a night it is going to get expensive, maybe someone knows where i can rent a room cheap, i might only be there 3 or 4 months and will be traveling between Des Moines and Dallas. Thanks

$50 a night is about as cheap as you are gonna get up there. Unless you wanna stay in a complete chithole about 45 miles away from the VA.

Call them. Some have contractor and or monthly rates
