Ground Bee's

Off topic, but I have had ground bee's....not regular honey bee's, but ground bee's infesting my yard. Have been killing them for a couple years. I have used gas, diesel, flooded them, Sevin-10 powder (that kills them, but not the queen) ...they just keep coming back! I had an exterminator come out 2 years ago and he sprayed some stuff which killed them, but they came right back last year.

Anybody know how to get rid of these things? I have probably 100 ground holes around my front porch and yard area...so not a single nest for me to dig up or attack.

Suggestions?

Thermonuclear device in the .4 - .7 kiloton range.
Or, if you live close to town just pay the bug dude every spring if he isn't too expensive.

Ortho Orthene is a non selective pesticide, meaning it will kill anything and everything, it's main use is for fire ants. I would sprinkle a little in each hole and see what happens. It will get on them as they go into the hole and they will carry it to the mothership.

Just concrete the whole yard!
Read this, maybe you'll get some ideas you haven't tried (like an upside down glass bowl over the hole)

We had some kind of ground hornets last year and this year. I bought some kind of wasp/hornet spray and just soaked the whole area where I thought they were coming from and I haven't seen them for 2 weeks now

Anything and everything includes kids and pets. The label is very specific about not allowing contact with people and pets.

No sh!t, I didn't say anything about putting on the dogs or kids, did I. And after it rains it will dissapate. Used it for years and my animals and kids are fine.

Easy Choctaw. Not meaning to get you riled up, just want to make sure he understands. Some people have been known to use stuff like that without reading the label first.

I'll get him riled up. Mike, are you sure you haven't ingested or gotten some of that stuff on you at some point down the line?
