Site for wounded vets
Heroes Night Out
This was passed on to me by a member on this site. Throw a couple bucks their way if you can. Pretty cool IMHO. Craig Last edited by TexasR.N.; 05-11-2009 at 05:00 AM. |

If any of the members can find it in there hearts and wallets, it is greatly appreciated. My family is directly involved with this non-profit organization. If you go to the website that TexasR.N. posted, that is my brother in the wheel chair at his Purple Heart Ceremony. The organization gets none of this money, it is all passed on directly to the families of Wounded Warriors. Many of these families are staying at the Fisher House, which not only puts the families up at no charge; they provide groceries, a large family kitchen where all the families in the house come together to enjoy a meal and share stories. Not only this, but they also paid my mom and dads mortgage payment for one month so that they could spend a little longer with my brother before they had to return to there daily lives. If anyone would like to see one of these wallets that Heroes Night Out puts together, I will post some this evening when I return from my mom and dads house.
Thanks for putting this out Craig!!!! |

A very worthwhile cause. My heart goes out to all of the men and women of out armed forces. They each have embarked on a very thankless path. They give their lives so we can enjoy our freedom and we don't even have the compassion to say thank you.
