Friends Helping Friends

Well this is how Craig repaid the favor to me, I think he got the short end of the deal.

I had a job requiring some help today (Sunday) and Craig stepped up to the plate, as usual.

For a lot of folks that aren't afraid of heights this will be no big deal, but I am.

Here's the story, I had to replace some cast iron roof drain piping on the 6th floor, not too bad you say, well ends up it was in a A/C return air shaft. It's hard to tell but all that was available to stand on was a 24' duct with the 6' roof drain smack dab in the middle, so there was a little "fancy footwork" involved.

Everything went off without a hitch and we finished the day with a trip to Bass Pro for some lunch with our families and a little shopping.

Craig, thanks again I really appreciated your help.

A couple pic's, sorry for the quality (cell phone).

Oh, and the rope around Craig's neck was there for pic purposes only, I assure you he did not work with it that way.

You can barely see the 6" pipe under Craig's left knee.

The vertical duct behind Criag is 48"

The grid you see is where all the air filters belong. Craig is on the left.

Boy howdy I'll say they do. Next time I help Mike with a job that requires me to be 6 stories up in an elevator shaft, I am bringing a lump of coal and will turn it into a diamond for my wife. The pucker factor was up there.

Actually hieghts don't bother me too badly. Like what was said, the harness does build confidence .

Glad to help out buddy

Craig
