Finished It Tonight!!!!!!!!!

ive done it, i now have a 1951 chevy pickup, with a full chevy powertrain, and an 04 expedition rear end and suspention. my 51 is now four wheel independant suspention with halfshaft rear axles. it was a chore building and welding brackets on the frame, but i got it done sunday, january 16th, and finished bolting the cab and box and all the elecrical stuff tonight. of course i had to have a custom built driveshaft built, and matching the rear u joint for a ford flange and a chevy driveline was not easy, but it was worh it. i cant even begin to describe how nice it rides and how sweet it performs. with front and rear sway bars on a full inependant suspention, it rides, corners, and accels like a brand new machine, and still has all the old school look. it is one sweet machine now, and almost completely done....

Yeah but you have to admit that half the fun is tinkering on 'em and building 'em up.

very cool...i love stuff like that...i saw an episode of TRUCKS! TV where the took an old International pickuo and put some big military deuce trunions under it and made a really fancy 4x4 system on this truck...really wild...lots of welding and custom parts..most salvaged parts, which makes it even cooler...good luck in your future fabs

Shoot - sorry to hear you sold her man. It sure is a beautiful truck and you did a great job on it. What's next? You plan on getting something else to fix up, or using the cash to get a PSD?
