Post and Present Military Veterans Recognition Thread

I wanted to thank all past and present members of the US military and say thanks for your service.

In order to honor those whom have served past and present service members I thought I would post this thread.

Looking to help recognize our veterans,so post up the following if you like.
Branch of Service you were in
Dates of service
MOS (Job description while serving)
Any cool equipment you worked on or were associated with
Locations of bases assigned
Highest rank achieved
Any wartime service or in support of

A little about my time in service;
USAF
1988-2008
46350 (Nuclear Weapons Technician) 319th Bomb Wing
46250 (Weapons builder and loader)
Peacekeeper and Minute Man ballistic missile systems
B-62, B-83, Alcm, Shram nuclear bomb and missile systems
Loaded the B52, B-1B
E-5
Grand Forks North Dakota AFB, Minot North Dakota AFB, Barksdale AFB, Lowry AFB, Kirkland AFB, Incirlik AB Turkey and Aviano AB Italy
Desert Storm (first gulf war)

Matt good luck to you in the Marines. I know personally for me being in the service was an experience I will never forget. I made some great friends and got to see a lot of cool places.
I spent boot camp during Christmas like you will do. It was not as bad as you would think.
Keep us posted on your permanent duty station once you are done with your training.

MOS (Job description while serving): Operational Specialist
Any cool equipment you worked on or were associated with: Rescue 21 and a few other equipment..
Locations of bases assigned: New Jersey, Guam, Petaluma, CA, Point Reyes, CA, Mobile,AL, Alameda, CA
Highest rank achieved: E5, just tested for E6 placement on Thursday though should make it in and round May 2014

Played with the first fax machines using ssb am radio to off shore Navy

My tour was easy compared to other vets who went thru lots of chit. I am grateful to them all for what they endured for us.

Been all over the place.

Probably the coolest stuff I've messed with had been the black crow and Mr freeze.
About to leave AMC for AFSO. Kinda looking forward to a change of pace
