Health issues

Okay ladies and gentlemen we have to talk...............

Please get your blood pressure checked and if it is high get it treated. Twice this week I had mid 40's males come in with massive brain bleeds related to high blood pressure (hypertension) 292/154 in one case and in the other, it came down to 264/140 after IV blood pressure meds were given by the air ambulance in route.

Don't leave your families and us way to soon. I was going to say "sorry about posting a downer topic" but if it causes one of y'all to get checked and treated then I'm not sorry a bit.

It's hard to see patient's in this condition, it's even harder to see the families.

Thats too bad Craig.
Good advice though...I am lucky and have consistantly pretty low bp. 120/85.

on a side note-I just had an epidural shot 3weeks ago and afterwards my bp dropped to 91/55 with a heart rate of 50... I almost chewed the floor... need a wuss smiley...

i have always had somewhat high BP. now that i have started working out, and eating right, just being healthy, it has come down to a normal level.

yeah, i am a believer now. I love how i feel, i almost feel like i did when i was in High School. man was i in such good shape then....

tell me about it my dads gotta have a quad bypass tuesday morn hes not over weight and eats pretty healthy o ya hes 48

I agree!! My dad had his first heart attack at 43 and had angio at that time. Unfortunately he passed away at age 53 about a month before his 54th birthday. there were other health issues but the heart attack took him.
