My father is going in tomorrow for back surgery.
He is having the vertebra separated and bone chips put in there with some titanium rods with a few screws.

i hope all goes well.

Update.
he is in the operating room as i type this. the operation should be over in 5 or 6 hours.
ill let you guys know what happens.

well the surgery was a success, but my father will have to stay in intensive care for about a week or so.
