Uh oh... I bought a Chevy.

I promised myself I'd never do it, but, I went and bought a Chevy. For $350.

Has a small headgasket leak, but nothing serious. ICE cold A/C. Brand new tires. 240K miles. Gave it a good cleaning. Changed the oil and the spark plugs... Pretty sure the spark plugs had about 200K miles on them.









Runs great now. Next up is to fix that ghetto rigged CD player.

maybe it will ease your mind just a tad if you put a ford sticker over the chevy symbol on the hood. anyways, decent buy. and the ice cold a/c is nice for the summer.

Yeah, spending $500 a month on fuel alone for work really sucked. If this car gets 30 MPG it will pay for itself in a month. Truck is now on fun duty/towing the boat... When the river isn't way flooded.

Tried looking for a Festiva... Couldn't find any cheap enough or not needing a ton of work.

I paid $350 for a car that has been driven 100 miles daily for the past few years with zero break downs. I'm not a Chevy fan at all, but if it runs for a month then dies, it has paid for itself. I paid for a great deal.

Haha... I'm not going to be seen in this car in public, only as a beater to and from work (70 miles round trip), although it is a ton different driving this vs the F-250. AC is definitely necessary for summers in Missouri. Plus, I can't show up to work covered in sweat at 8 am...

I've put about 100 miles on it since Friday (including the test drive) and it hasn't missed a beat.

All you need now is 3 spinner hubcaps, a fart can muffler and a big wing. I just picked up a 2000 Sunfire 2 door. Gets 34 miles to the gallon and it was free! Woo Hoo I hear ya buddy!

I'm thinking of having a coffee can welded on over the exhaust pipe. And the guys in the shop said they would build me a spoiler... Without me even asking. It sounds scary, mainly cause most of our steel is heavy structural stuff. Wonder how much a wing made of 1" plate will weigh... LOL
