NO Poler Ice!!!

Hey guys i saw this on Yahoo and thought it was a good read... now im just like you guys..i love blowing smoke and don't want anyone telling me what i can and cant do to my truck... but this does show what global warming is doing to our planet and that something needs to be done.....

In my opinion we need to have the government invest more into bio diesel... and stop sending all our waste oil over seas.. we need to keep that in our Country and convert it here..... Imagine if even 10% of Diesel Owners were using some sort of Bio the amount of less contaminants that would go up into the atmosphere...

anyways just my opinion... what do you guys think?

That's assuming that global warming is caused by man. Global warming is happening, glacers in Alaska are smaller than thay we're when I was a kid, no doubt about it. However, you have to remember, how many Ice ages has the earth gone through?

More scientist reject man made global warming.

31,000 scientists reject 'global warming' agenda

The other thing is, is global warming bad? or just different?

I believe this Global Warming religion, and I say religion becouse its based on a belief not fact( the man Made part),porpose is to grow Gov and control people. That its a natural occurance, and there's man can do to make it happen or stop it from happening.

Al Gore is the premier precher of this religion and he's making $millions while emitting massive amounts of carbon!

global warming what? Al gore might not have invented internet, but he did invent global warming. Im no scientist but the earth goes through climate changes and thats life whether liberals wanna grasp that or not. And the earth has only dropped 1 degree F in the last 100 years plus the earth has taken volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and tornadoes/hurricanes, so i dont think a couple plastic cups, spoons, and a lil soot from our exhuasts is gona hurt it.

Hey Raul,
While I am still out on whether or not global warming is caused man or is cyclical I am for reducing pollution. I don't think anyone has to be a rocket scientist to know that all of this pollution cannot be good for the environment. If 10% of diesel drivers did use a bio fuel it would greatly reduce pollution, I mean that is a lot of vehicles.

I would like to see more emphasis on keeping our planet clean in all areas; air pollution, litter, water pollution, etc....

Good topic,
Craig

No doubt there might be warming, the cause however is unknown. Man is arrogant to think the climate is stable, never has been, never will be.

We should be good stewards to the earth (in other words, dont be a polluting scumbag.)

The biggest problem I have with Al proclaiming the earth is warming, the earth is warming is this- he personally benefits from it. Where does he buy his carbon credits from (which are just a whole socialistic scam anyways?) His own company! Scumbag. If you believe the sky is falling, you take steps to prevent it, not just expect others to heed your warnings and do it for you while you sit in your mansion. If he REALLY believed it- he wouldn't fly around in private airplanes, big ol SUVs especially when he could do live 'shows' via the internet and use much fewer resources spreading his message.

I just went to arizona near lake powell. You could see the pollution from a singe power plant from miles (MANY MANY miles) away. That could be eliminated for about 3 million bucks/year. They choose not to do it. Before you say 3 mil is a lot of money- think of the cost of coal (it burns about 8 million tons of coal/yr).. 3 mil is nothing.

There is a finding of no significant impact for the plant- all you have to do is go out west to see the significant impact of dirty power (not all coal is dirty, and the coal that is can be cleaned up). That is where the stewardship comes in. Clean up your crap.

Good point.....the world has no shortage of JUNK SCIENCE
.
Also....when it comes to established scientific fields....most of them havent a clue about plate tectonics and its effect on ocean warming...even tho occasionally there is a tsunamis, earthquake or volcano...they STILL think the ocean temperature changes are driven by the greenhouse effect .

I believe that any scientist or politician that preaches co2 and global warming should be made to sit in the water near the active volcanoe near hawaii for a couple hours!! (well then again ,with the price of fuel,a visit to old faithful would be sufficient)

Speaking of ocean temperature's. I commercial fish for Albacore of the west coast, Albacore are very sensitive to water temps, so we keep a good eye on them. This year the ocean is way colder than average.

I remember seeing a discovery channel thing about the ocean currents off galapagos island and how the currents shift every year. Surely that effects the water temp off california......but I am wondering:
How does one catch a Albacore??? (net?,hook?,trap?,spear???etc)
