Tank, Why the days and months on the steps?

I was teaching him the months and days,...and I left them up there because we had a daughter....I use all sorts of learning tools.
he was reading at 3,....now he is 8, and reading on a 6 grade reading level. He STAYS on the honor roll. I keep my kids involved in everything I do.... my daughter 1 year old...helping install a dishwasher. my son helping weld my rockrails not many parents would feel comfortable letting their 7 year old use a grinder. I read a study that said,.."the longer children crawl, the smarter they will be"....it makes sense....because when you crawl,..you use BOTH sides of your brain....but when you walk,...you only use one side.. Every time my kids tried to walk....I knocked them over...I wouldn't let them walk until they were 14 months old....so far...they have exceeded my expectations in development. kids learn from their parents,....I skipped a grade,..and graduated before I was 16. Also...my kids don't get soda or candy,...there is no reason for them to have it.
water ,milk, juice,...that's it. I hate when I see a 4 year old with a loli-pop,.....lazy parents...." mommy...I want a soda"...."daddy...I want a loli-pop"......they'd rather shut their kid up with candy and crap,....rather than letting the little bastards whine for awhile.. Screw that....I'll let my little ankle biters cry,...I will not be ruled by a child.... And God help them if they throw a tantrum,....red asses are uncomfy to sit on...lol Last edited by TANK'S 250; 06-21-2008 at 07:44 PM. |

A buddys wife used to do that when we deployed, her and the kids would move a marker of some sort to count the days left until we came home. I bought my son a tool kit at 4-5 years old, he took the coffee table apart...

My kids dont like soda. My in-laws try to sneak them garbage all the time. It causes problems between us, but I dont care. They screwed up their kids...leave mine alone. lol My oldest son had training wheels for about a month. One day before work I took them off and left. The wife called and said he looked at it, got on it, and rode away like he had been doing it for months.
