? on performance parts for an 84 Cutlass

what kind of rods and cam should a guy put in an 84 cutlass hoping to reach around the 500hp range?

I don't think there is enough nitrous in the world to make 500hp in a 84 cutlass w/cam and rods. I'll assume you have the 307.

EVEN if you get 1.5hp per CI of motor (haha), you are still under 500hp. It will take a lot of money.

Cheaper way out?

383 chevy stroker and a th350 trans.

Even the trans is a BOP bolt pattern, won't work with a chevy.

Replace the 307 with a 350sbc built up then you can reach 500hp easily and it will bolt right in place of that 307. It will also be cheaper and easier to find parts for.

I got an 88 olds cutlass. Put a 468 big block chevy in it to make the power. Its really more of a drag car tho.

For 13,000 dollars you can order a Merlin 350sbc from summit that puts out 550hp.

Go find a 455ci Olds out of a big 88 or 98. Slap that sonova***** in there with a cam, and you'll be alot closer.
