Dealership Issues!

I am working in West Texas on the refinery that blew up in Feb 2008 (That is a different story) at Big Spring, TX. It is about 60 miles west of Midland/Odessa area, on I-20.

I got a check engine light this week, and so I stopped by the local dealership. I asked if they could hook me up since there was NOTHING else indicating problems on the truck, and see if I was in any danger. They said that they could not get to me for two weeks, OR I could PAY to have my truck hooked up to the computer. I then asked "I Thought it was still under warranty" to which they replied oh yeah .... take it to Autozone. I called Ford, who called them two more times trying to help me to which the answer was the same! Ford then called Rogers Ford in Midland, TX and they fixed my truck within 4 hours of recieving the truck. The problem was a glowplug control module. It was less than a two hour fix. Did I mention I was over 500 miles from home, and I would have been home before my truck was fixed by Bob Brock Ford in Big Spring, TX, leaving my over 500 miles from my truck!

My suggestion to you if you have trouble in West Texas is to go to Rogers Ford in Midland, TX They fixed up a guy that was having trouble that was over 500 miles from home with good quick service and a smile!!!

Bob~!

BOB, it makes me sick to hear how some dealers treat people, but it sounds like you found a good one in the end.
