Texas CB Help

I have a Cobra 148 NW ST Sound Tracker CB Radio. I was told that this is a good unit. i got it for free cooked it up and it never really worked. When it was first installed i could hear but couldnt talk back. But now i cant hear or talk. If you turn the squelch all the way up to make it squelch it wont. it dosent even que the mike? I was wondering if there is a plave in the DFW area to get it looked at if yall dont have anyclues. I dont remeber who it was but some one on the site. i think it was eather Dirk, Happentxnrn, or the guy that hosted the dfw meet. sorry cant remember ya name .

Any help would be great.

There is a place at I35 and Altamesa. Sid's CB Shop-I think, it's on the West side of 35. Been there for years.

If you don't "tune" it correctly.....you will burn it out.

You need your SWR'S tuned.

I did that. justs about the only thing i know how to do.
