DC streets not safe.....what?!?!?!?
I just figured with all of the gun control in our nations' capitol that problems like this wouldn't be an issue. I am stunned to find a liberal solution not working....waa haa haa.........NOT.
D.C. Police to Check Drivers In Violence-Plagued Trinidad I bet Tanks250, myself and a few others on this site could fix that mess in a relatively short period of time. Craig |

What the heck?
I can't stand the ACLU, but I agree with this quote from the article ... "My reaction is, welcome to Baghdad, D.C.," said Arthur Spitzer, legal director for the ACLU's Washington office. "I mean, this is craziness. In this country, you don't have to show identification or explain to the police why you want to travel down a public street." And look at this (from the same article) One of Lanier's plans, the Safe Homes initiative, has yet to get off the ground because of a community backlash. The plan, announced by Lanier and Fenty at a news conference in March, called for police to go door-to-door in crime-ridden areas and ask residents whether they could go inside and search for guns. You know, there's a saying "They're not criminals because they're geniuses". But I'm wondering if the Police Chief is any smarter? ![]() If I didn't have to travel to D.C. on business (govt employee) I'd never go there. I say move the White House and Congress to the Central U.S. and bulldoze D.C. Better yet, don't move them, just bulldoze them, too. Our elected representatives could just as well stay in their home districts and conduct their 'business' electronically. Videoconference and electronic voting. Use their state facilities. We no longer really have to have those facilities in D.C. More to say, but I don't feel coherent right now ...

that is crazy. Is the army coming in to conduct the home raids?
I wouldnt mind loading up my truck with my guns and amo and go give them a hand, i wouldnt need a check point or door to door to figure out who needs to be removed from this planet. The goverment just takes a bad situation and makes it worse. |

can come and search the place. Asking for permission, because they have no warrant or probably cause. You'd be a fool to say 'yes', even if you are squeaky clean. Once inside, they can look at anything. They might find something 'incriminating'. I hope you don't really think we should be using our military to do home invasions? |

sorry it was more of a sarcastic joke... I was trying to go to the extreme because of how stupid it is in the first place.

given to Marines, asking if they'd obey orders to disarm the populace. The American populace! Then we had the gun confiscation in Louisiana during/after Katrina. Nothing funny about that stuff. If you catch 'em in the act, they're guilty. Take 'em out! "They made a threatening move, and I was concerned for my safety!". No repeat offenders! Otherwise, innocent until proven guilty. |
