Salute to our service members!

In honor of our recent Memorial Day celebration and to pay tribute to our military members, I'd like to start a thread for member's military pics and why it means something to you. This isn't just for the military folks, because I'm reasonably certain that everyone knows someone who has served or are currently serving our great country. Please post up pics of yourself or on behalf of your family or your friends who have sacrificed blood, sweat and tears for our freedom. Here are some examples:
  1. Your unit, battalion, ship or squad
  2. Equipment you supported, drove or operated
  3. Deployment or liberty pic
  4. Service member's family or friends
  5. Picture of souvenirs or momentos from your service (Arabic writing on steel coke cans, for instance )

I will help kick this off.
Here is a picture of a Phalanx CIWS system-not the actual system I worked on...

Here's a picture of me putting the ammunition handling system back together again after tearing it down for maintenance. This was in port San Diego a week before I was getting out...

I retired from the Air Force in '92. Don't have any photos of the planes I worked on or supported - F-111D fighter-bomber and B-52 G and H models.
I'll hunt some up to post.

I DO have a picture of my two boys - both serving in the Marines.

My oldest, Charles, on my left, and my youngest, Eric, on my right.
Taken last year in Yuma, AZ. My two "deadly weapons"!

And my daughter Fadalia, who graduates Medical school next year.
She'll "fix" what they "break"!

Two to kill - one to save.

And my wonderful wife, Lisa, who raised them, and stuck by me through thick and thin!

Great looking family, Russ. That's irony at it's finest, don't you think?

Sawyer, was your wedding pic before or after the ceremony?

Great pics, let's keep them coming!!!!
