Finally made it to EMT school

Well, I have been trying to get into a program with the VA that would send to school to learn a new trade. I have always wanted to be dual certified and become an EMT. Now, that goal is finally being realized. EMT school is already a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I am finding out it is way easier to hurt people than it is to unhurt them. A mistake the VA made has also added to the challenges, but I think it is getting worked out. Anyhoo, I am just happy to finally be at this point. I have a long and challenging road ahead but I am looking forward to it.

Hows it going for you? I start EMT school in 2 weeks at a local college but the guy teaching has been paramedic for years and one of the best in the area. I'm really looking forward to it especially since it wasn't planned, just happened to get offered the chance to go through the VFD so I'm taking it..

Good luck with this! I've been an EMT-B (only other cert in NJ is paramedic) since 2011. They added an extra 60 hours to the course the cycle after I graduated so it wasn't too difficult lol

Good luck to all. My daughter is a Paramedic in the Kansas City area and loves what she does, so hang in and study hard. I knoiw from what she went through that it is very difficult but can be done.
