It' a disgrace! Worst part about it is the guy isn't even legal!! Why on earth would you want to put someone who has NO RIGHT to be here in OUR prison system to only Burden US??? Death penalty or not they need to ship is azz back to mexico in a box that says "do not open till x-mas"....

Liberals / idiots synonymous.

Never, never, never, should a cop killer get anything but the death penalty, especially when the POS admits to it. Once the verdict was in, in this case the guy should have been taken out back and hung from the neck until dead.

Those in charge are quick to have zero tolerance for everything except law and order. Expel a kid for bring a butter knife to school, or expel them for giving a friend a tylenol and then claim we have a zero tolerance for weapons and drugs.

Impress me, how about zero tolerance for cop killers.

I feel for the officers family.

And I'll refrain from going off on how society has become sheep and can't even give the death penalty to an ILLEGAL who murdered a law enforcement officer. Funny how people - and yes I do classify them as Libs - feel differently when it is their family member. Libs become Cons after their daughter gets raped and murdered. I'd rather start out Cons and skip the bull$hit.

Also, another thing that doesn't make sense is the whole of Houston is and was for the death penalty in this case. I heard one of the jurors say they thought he still had some redeemable qualities in him. If thats the case, why not let him have the chance of parole when he becomes redeemable?!?!? Yet they gave him life with no parole. These people make no damn sense!! And what kind of message does that send out to other would be cop killers?? "Go ahead, we dont care about our police force. We're on your side."
