Road trip next week. DFW to Milwaukee to Atlanta to DFW.

Ok.. I'm heading the Colgate WI (outside of Milwaukee) then to Acworth GA (outside of Atlanta) then back to DFW. I haven't decided on what route I'll be taking. If you live between these points, let me know.. maybe I can make a stop. I will probably be heading out next weekend and I'm not on real schedule.

I'll have internet access and my laptop up and running while on the highway, so I'll be somewhat in touch.

Also, I've been floggin' my old 7.3 pretty darn hard lately. I just got back from another dyno test session and have an interesting tap at idle. I'm pretty sure I over-revved the old beast and bent a push rod.. or 4. I'm failing a contrib test on 2 cylinders with known good injectors. I'm positive she'll be fine, but I may end up needing a hand.

Hey Dirk,just curious, is the tap at idle always there or does it come and go? Are you going back with stock or Chrommolly pushrods?

01 LWB CC SRW 4x4 7.3 auto
Stage II's,HPX, In tank and pre-pump mods,regulated return
AFE stage II,Garrett BB Turbo,4" turbo back, ITP overboost annihilator, 10 pos. DP Tuner,
Motor and tranny rebuilt. forged rods,Mahle pistons, all balanced, new valves,Comp 910's,C/M P-rods,ARP Studs , homemade AIH delete kit, twin TRU-Cool tranny coolers,Ride-Rite air bags B-D X-Monitor
Don't worry about the Mule, just load the wagon.

More noticeable at idle, but you can hear it under load. It's not bad, just a stumble at idle now, highway running is smooth. Power is still well over 400hp/900lbs torque.

EDIT: I doubt I collapsed a spring or cracked a rocker.

Tons of smoke, all black.. bit of white on hard pulls. Turbo can't keep up.

Yeah, DI has helped me a lot over the last couple of years. They were some of the best priced p-rods that I found which is a good thing. I think they are made from some good quality metal too.

Hauling stuff between family members houses. I lost my father, grandfather, and grandmother last year. Time to consolidate stuff between houses. My aunt lives in WI and my mom is in GA.
