Caught strangers in my yard

Well it's about 1:30 a.m. here in SA. and I just received a call from my neighbor down the street saying there were 3 kids snooping around our yard for about 15 minutes. He said that they were around the trucks for a long time. My Dad's truck is parked up on the driveway and they were supposedly trying to look inside and around the truck for about 10 mins. I park my truck right in front of the curb in front of our house and he said that one of the was looking at my toneau cover and messing with a bag. After 15 mins of snooping they left and walk down the street towards my neighbors house where he was in his garage in the dark just hanging out with his wife. The three kids walked towards the garage as if they were going to pillage it but ran away as soon as they heard my neighbor ask "Can I help you with something?" and reached for his bat.

I went outside and inspected both trucks, the fence and everything around and couldn't find anything missing or damaged. One of them supposedly had a bag in his hand .

Just to be safe tonight I grabbed both sets of keys (two way pager alarm), set them next to my alarm clock, pulled out my shotgun and leaned it against the wall for a quick grab and layed out 3 shotgun shells.

Next time they run, they better be able to run at 1400 feet per second and hope I don't miss with my Xtra full and turkey choke!

Thank God for aware and courtious neighbors. I hope everything turns out good tonight. You might want to wait up tomorrow night as well just incase.

Good idea man, thanks. I usually don't have to worry about this as this neighborhood is pretty safe but times are a changing .

Now I just need to get back and concentrate on my paper that's due tomorrow

But yea, times are definately changing my friend. What happened to the day when you could leave your house unlocked when you left?

Thats why my trains horns are connected to my alarm system...anything happens to the truck, and everyone within a mile knows about it...lol
