Death Penalty

Lethal Injection ok'd by Supreme Court 7-2
Townhall.com::The News::News ArticleStates' death row injections get OK after high court ruling

What I found interesting was the statement below that I copied out of the story:
Inmates and death row advocates were frustrated that the court brushed aside their arguments that lethal injections are unconstitutional cruel and unusual punishment.

I am sure their victims were given the same concern when they were murdered.

Now this is were I go on a rant...................
I am sick and tired of hearing politicians (Repubs / Dems) say we need more Police. No we don't, we need fewer criminals. If we used the death penalty more efficiently we would have fewer criminals. I'd be ok with raising taxes for DNA testing to make sure we get the right perpetrators and that no innocent people were wrongly executed.

We don't hesitate to put a rabid animal down, why tolerate a "rabid" human. If you are going to live a life of crime, I think that life should be cut short. I'd rather see a a repeat offender be executed than a LEO / innocent by-stander be killed and leave a family behind, because this dirt bag escalated from burglary to homicide.

My name is Craig and I approve this message.

I will vote for you Craig.

I love the cruel and unusual punishment argument too. Like all the victims had a choice of what they got.

They can all kiss my hind end. If you can do the time, don't do the crime.

Hell, if it was up to me, I would forget to give them the injection that puts them to sleep and go straight to the one that stops their heart. They deserve every last little thing they get.

Like Ron White says about the death penalty.

"Other states are trying to abolish the death penalty -- mine's putting in an express lane."

Well I've certainly never thought it to be cruel, and if we used it more the unusual argument would go right out the window!

I agree it should be used much more than it is!

This one should have been executed long before he finally died!

How is it cruel and unusual???? They put you to sleep and you don't even feel anything.....if you ask me its too nice of a way to go.....you want to talk about cruel and unusual lets talk the gas chamber or the electric chair .....however I have always wondered why they never "kill" the murder the same way he/she murdered their victims

I fully support the DNA testing and I fully support the death penalty.
