Talking Turbo blew up! (WOW)

We were going down the road in our Ladder Truck and the turbo wasspooled up and getting ready to shift gears and BOOM!! white smoke and smell of burnt oil. think we shut down in time to minumise damage. 18096miles 8yrs old. about 1800 hrs. Detroit 60 515 hp. it was a sad sight seing it getting loaded on to a towtruck. & 3 firefightes sitting on the side of the road. till we go pick up. LOL it was a bad day

Those dang detroits. I will stand by my pic caption. If it aint a CAT its a dog. I have never been a fan of the late model series 60's. I like the sound of the old 2 strokers.

an old boss of mine taught me how to drive his dumptruck with a detroit

the first thing he told me to do was to slam my fingers in the door ( that way I was good and mad when i ran it)
