Whats your Career, Is it what you wanted?

Just wondering what people did out there for jobs? I grew up farming, wish I still did it, It really was the love of my life, I currently work for the Department of Transportation, shipping, recieving, pretty much a parts guy in a garage, I also have a small landscaping buisness. As far in the future Ive always thought I would like to end up on a farm, maybe out in the midwest or something. Post it up share your stories!

Growing up my ambition was to work construction and maybe one day eventually own my own company. My ambition was to make at least $30K a year.

I have owned three businesses and earned and lost much more than that.

Now I am the Operations Manager for a company that services multi-national companies. Definitely much better position than I thought I would be.

Journeyman carpenter trained in Local Union 132 DC & 1354 Baltimore, Vested.
Got hurt and worked my way into management. Worked as Superintendent (1 of 7) on the Baltimore Ravens Stadium (one of my highlight projects)
Pushed on to Project Manager.

Now:
- Asst. Project Manager for the largest Hotel / Hospitality builder on the east coast.
- Own Shutter Up and Smile Photography a Professional Wedding and Environmental Portrait Company.
- Lastly - North American Missionary - Director, Lighthouse Missions - serving all of Appalachia Mountain range.

I'm busy. Add to this taking a chunk of my time - dating a young lady for the last 18 months, she works in my company and accompanies me on the mission trips (with others for accountability), Daddy, and avid Kayaker. I sleep very little.

Got a degree in accounting and have never used it. I've grown up in a family of construction workers and farmers and I absolutely love being a carpenter.
