I need to lengthen engine compartment

Next time someone comes on here saying their fuel economy sucks I am going to use the quote below about this engine. Now that is some seriously bad fuel economy.

"Even at its most efficient power setting, the big 14 consumes 1,660 gallons of fuel oil per hour"



The only problem I see in your conversion is a transmission to handle the 5.6 million pound of torque.

That kind of fuel consumption and torque at 102 RPMs! Wonder what that baby would do at 2000 RPMs!

I would not envy you. Because you may have the biggest and baddest diesel engine. But can you afford to run it.

The 14 cyl. version weighs 4 milllion, 600 thousand pounds. 4,600,000 lbs
