Junkyards?

Ok i have read a million threads and whenever the topic of going to the junkyard to get (blank) especially for newer super duties...what kinda junkyards do you go to. Where i live theres only one U-pull place which i prefer to pull my own parts and 2 other go to the counterand tell the guy what you want junkyards and i have been to all 3 a few times and they NEVER have super duties. Like zilch.

How is it that you guys go to junkyards and "oh ill get a sets of seats and some tow mirrors etc etc" There was ONE once at the pull it yourself place but it was a crappy v8 gasser standard cab that had been already picked through for the good parts.

Is it that we dont wreck here, we fix our trucks, or they just rust away in the salt...theres definitely no shortage of SDs here. Can anyone elaborate???

Mostly depends on the locals and the yards, many that end up there are "donated" for the hell of it, scrap, or wanted a junk cars removed from their property, but a lot of the times it is stuff bought from insurance actions as well as fleet auctions, your local yards just are not spending the coin to keep the stuff they have new and current there

Yea i mean they turn over stuff because usually theres everything new everytime i go but maybe they would rather buy more of those sh!tty plastic toy cars because they are dirt cheap. Theres really not that much selection of trucks at the pull place. But upon checking their site it seems the truck gods are shining because it looks like they have a 2002 f350 that im gonna go raid this weekend.

But it still amazes me that theres not like you said more insurance buyouts because i know theres no shortage of dumbass drivers here
