Someone please explain camo to me

Ok guys i know this will P.O. some people but please bear with me.

Whats the deal with camo everything? i understand its use when hunting or military...but why on EVERYTHING. I saw a guy yesterday with a red super duty with the fender flares camo-ed out. It looked absolutely atrocious in my opinion. I just saw a guy on here that vinyl wrapped his whole truck camo and no offense but i thought it too looked ridiculous. Everywhere i see people hydrodipping things camo. Is it just a redneck thing?

Personally i am far from a redneck nor would i ever want that title despite what my truck says about me. I dont hunt so maybe thats why i dont get it Usually i can understand the custom things people do to their vehicles even though i dont like it (ie huge chrome rims, unique colors) i understand those things even though personally i would never do those things myself.

Camo just to me screams im a big huge redneck and honestly thats exactly opposite of what the diesel community needs. I would say its ALMOST akin to the message rolling coal sends(minus the environmental issues) and we all know how we mostly look down upon that so why not on camo on unnecessary items

So if someone could please maybe shine some light on it please because i just dont get it. Not trying to start a fight or anything just trying to understand it if im missing something.

I don't even try to understand some of these ridiculous fads anymore. I can understand it if you have an old beater hunting truck, but I don't get wrapping your $50k+ truck with camo wrap.

I think it's matter of personal preference. Some people like camo, some like lifted / lowered trucks, some like a certain type of tire/wheel combos, CAI, exhaust, tuner, headlight type, side steps, chicken lights......and the list goes on. Camo just happens to be a 'VERY' visible mod. Each of us want to make our truck ours. It might be the same color as another one, but there are things we do to make it different.

That's my take.

Well thats the thing is i understand the purpose of all those other things...just not camo. I know everyone has a personal preference and by no means is it usually mine but i understand the purpose. Camo though, why do you want you truck to look like the ground?
