TV Recommendations

Well, after 8 years or so of service, my TV finally died. I'm not really up on what's out there lately, I was still watching my DLP and had no idea how much better they've gotten.

I've searched most of the sites and checked out the "Editor's Choice" recommendations, but really don't want a plasma, so I'm wondering what all of you think are worth investigating?

Yea what are ya gonna be doin with it? Gaming, or just some tv watching with a few movies? I got the 240ghz cause I play a lot of games and like the better refresh rate...can get them cheaper if you get a lower rate...like 120 or even 60 ....which will still be a pretty good pretty just might get a little choppy

Mostly just TV, DVD, some GoPro videos. I'm too old and slow for gaming (LOL)

I personally like Samsung or Sharp TV's. I have a 52" LCD Samsung and it is awesome. A buddy of mine has a 70" Sharp and that thing is amazing, Im wanting one now. Sony is also a great brand.

I like the Sharp TV's too and will be checking what they've got at CostCo, the Vizio got great reviews and the video geeks at work swear by them. It's going to come down to what looks best in person. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

I will ONLY buy Samsung TV's now. I have had the same TV for 7 years and it still has a PERFECT picture. I have been eyeballing the 3d LED TV's from them for some time now. Just working up the guts to spend the money on one lol.
