They are trying to expand their market place. Once again, it's cheaper offshore..
A neighbor of mine works for them. He said the cost of some of the products would increase 1000-2000% if they were made in the US. |

Also, I think the only "made in USA" was on the hand made custom boots.

I am looking at Rod's Western Western Wear catalog (Western Wear and Clothing, Western Decor, Boots, Cowboy Hats, Tack and more from Rods.com) and their Justin boots state they are made in the U.S.A., can't say about the wallet. Shaefer outfiter (American Ranchwear - America's Finest Ranchwear by Schaefer Outfitter Since 1982) sells only American made ranch / western wear. Yes, the clothing is more money but too me it is worth it. I am tired of having to send my little boy's toys back because they are laced with lead or some other crap!!! In our house we are trying to buy other than chinese (small "c" done on purpose) made products. We can't buy only American, yet (if anyone knows how please let me know) but I have held off buying clothing / tools / other goods because the item was made in china.
I don't care if it costs less made in china. I'll support my country thank you very much. Just my opinion, Craig |

You guys made me go check on my Lucchese's, here's what I found on their site:
All Lucchese Classics, Lucchese 2000 and Lucchese 1883 boots are made 100% in the USA. Our factory is in El Paso, Texas. Made in the USA, barely.
