Anyone have experience with Repo???

Been toying with the idea for some time now about opening a repo business, no it has nothing to do with dumb shows like Lizard Lick or Operation Repo, but want to know if anyone here has had experience in either owning/running, skip tracing, working with banks/credit unions/dealerships, or going out on the actual call?....Thanks in advance

I went on a voluntary repo in a sketchy part of town with a friend of mine once. I was bent over in the car trying to find the keys and a lady came outside to tell us that the they were over the visor. I about had a heart attack when I heard the door open

So she was expecting it huh? I've heard about 90% of them go pretty well.....nothing like what you see on TV

I dont believe hardly anything seen on tv... one of my co workers had his car repoed and he also gave up the keys with no hassle but as we all know there is also a bunch of idiots out there who think everything is theirs and free whether they pay for it or not and they are gonna be major annoying pains.

I have done repos for buy here/pay here lots for a while as well as doing some work for title loan places.. I will send you a link on FB to my buddy mike from VA who runs a very very successful repo company that I'm sure wouldn't mind answering some questions for you... He is also coming out with a smartphone app that's going to really shake things up in the repo world

Exactly......I'm not even worried about the confrontation with owners cuz it is what it is. I'm really more interested in the tracking down cars, getting in with banks/credit unions, and what different laws/rules there might be for actually getting the car

C'mon Lizard Lick is some quality TV! My wife hates it, she just stares at me in disbelief/disgust whenever I watch it. Haha.
