I ran into a WWII vet today at the Hospital. He went out of his way to come over and say Hi Chief and thank me for my service. It gave me the chills!!!!!

Luckily I was able to talk to him again and thank him for his service. Like most vets of that generation he was saying it was what needed to be done.

He had retired in '64 as a Master Chief and makes it a point to say thanks to Chiefs because he knows we made the commitment to our Nation.

It seems the 'older' vets "get it." Can't help but respect that.
