Helping the animals

I wanted to post this a while back (because I like to brag about my boy) but he wanted to keep it low key. Too bad, I am the daddy so I over rule him. My son just turned eight a couple of weeks ago. Instead of toys he wanted all of his gifts to be in the form of animal feed, bleach, animal toys, and other supplies the local animal shelter needed. He brought in quite a haul and the animals received much needed supplies. He might be small, but he has a big heart.

Today, mine had a gift card for a video game store. Only had $15 on it and he bought a game. After paying for it with his gift card, the cashier told him he had $19 left on it. He immediately looked at her and said he thought that was a mistake, that it should be less. He is 10. Just makes you feel good as a parent.
