Truck weapon mounting

So im looking to find a way to legally carry a weapon in my truck... here in CA we have to have it locked. ideally i would like to carry some type of handgun.

here are my must haves:
has to be within reach of driver seat
easily accessible (maybe biometrics thumb print)

i was thinking of something like this:
Amazon Amazon

then find a way to hardmount it my center console so that it cant be stolen....

what do you guys think?

im also looking of a way to mount my AR 15 under the rear seats.. i have seen many ways to do this and a few companies at SEMA that specialize in molded compartments specially for our trucks and AR 15's.. but... its not lockable.... i need to be able to have it completely lockable to be CA legal...

How secure does the compartment tha the guy's locked in have to be? I have the Cabela's Edition truck and it came with longs gun storage underneath the rear seat. The lock is keyed to the vehicle's key. It has a couple buckles on it to keep it latched but if someone wanted to get your guns I'm sure they. Could with enough effort as it's just a plastic, foam padded case instead of rear seat storage. The centre console has a deep compartment with flip down lid that also has a lock on it keyed to the truck's key. This might be an option for you if you want a factory look.
